Our Company

Founded in 2010 by experienced Physical Therapist, Blase Strobl, Core Physical Therapy is designed to provide local communities with a welcoming and effective physical therapy clinic focused on each patient’s individual needs.

Core Physical Therapy, LLC strives to create an inclusive and relaxing atmosphere to treat patients from all over, including nearby cities like Janesville, Brodhead, Oregon and Stoughton.

Our goal is to ensure that each patient works to create the best version of themselves. We have designed a four-part program of care to deliver exceptional care that includes addressing your pain, getting your body to move properly, building your strength starting at the core, and helping you find your balanced life.

Our Team

Blase Strobl, PT, Cert. MDT, Owner

Blase Strobl is the owner of Core Physical Therapy as well as a Physical Therapist.

He graduated from University of Wisconsin – La Crosse with a Bachelors in Physical Therapy degree and has more than 20 years of experience in his field.

He established Core Physical Therapy in 2010 to provide the local community with a therapy clinic focused on individual’s needs while creating a family environment.

Blase is certified in dry needling, functional movement taping, and diagnostic ultrasound. He is trained in the McKenzie Method and Schwargin back protocol.

His passion in life is to help others and create powerful experiences in their lives through physical therapy. Outside of Core, he is a very busy father of four amazing children. He loves being active outdoors and being involved with animals.

Nancy Caraway, PTA

Nancy Caraway is a Physical Therapist Assistant at Core Physical Therapy. 

She received her Associate's degree from Blackhawk Technical College in 1991. 

Nancy is certified in senior strength training, physio-ball therapy, and has attended advanced courses in balance training, myofascial release, massage and cupping therapies.  

Nancy has been working by Blase Strobl's side since 2005 and feels a close connection to the Evansville community. 

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, walking her dog,  exercising, playing the piano, and studying nutrition.

Meagan Mueller, PT, DPT, ATC

Meagan Mueller is a Physical Therapist at Core Physical Therapy. She is originally from Mason City, Iowa. 

She received her undergraduate degree and certification in Athletic Training at the University of Northern Iowa.

She then went on to Clarke University in Dubuque, Iowa to complete her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree, and graduated in May of 2021. She completed her dry needling certification in February of 2023.

She is very excited to be part of the Core Physical Therapy family. Her favorite part of being at Core is the family-like atmosphere, the opportunity to learn something new each day, and working with a great group of people who are passionate about helping their patients.

Outside of work, Meagan enjoys spending time with friends and family, being active outdoors, playing with her dog, and exploring all that Wisconsin has to offer.

Hailey Bergin, PT, DPT

Hailey Bergin is a Physical Therapist at Core Physical Therapy.  She grew up in Dousman, WI and now is living in Elkhorn WI. 

Hailey graduated from Carroll University with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in May 2021 and started her career at Core in October 2021.  She plans to take continuing education classes to become more proficient with functional movement taping and vestibular cases. She completed her dry needling certification in January of 2023.

Hailey enjoys getting to know her patients and enjoys working with great team members.  Hailey's passion is to help her patients improve so that they are able to continue living their life to the fullest.

Outside of Core, she stays busy between her horse and staying active outdoors with friends and family. 

Sarah Burd, PT, DPT, OCS

Sarah Burd is a Physical Therapist at Core Physical Therapy.

Sarah grew up in rural Illinois and attended St. Ambrose University in Iowa for both her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science (2015) and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy (2016). She also completed an Orthopedic Clinical Residency program at Loyola University Medical Center and is now a board certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist. She completed her dry needling certification in February of 2023.

 She has been working as a physical therapist for over 5 years in the Chicagoland region and enjoyed teaching physical therapy students in both the classroom and clinic before moving to Evansville with her family. 

 Sarah’s expertise is in treating all orthopedic musculoskeletal injuries, but also has a significant history treating patients with neurological and cardiopulmonary diagnoses. She also enjoys niche practice of treating TMJ dysfunction, athletes, and amputees. She looks forward to the continual advancement of her clinical skills/knowledge and plans to pursue a dry needling certification.

Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter and 2 dogs, hiking/being outdoors, and exploring all that Wisconsin has to offer.

Gabrielle Thomas, PT, DPT

Gabby Thomas is a physical therapist at Core Physical Therapy. 

Gabby grew up in rural Minnesota. She received her undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin - Steven’s Point. She then went to the College of St. Scholastica to complete her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree, and graduated in May 2022. 

Gabby enjoys working with people of all walks of life and is eager to help them get back to what they enjoy doing. She looks forward to learning more and advancing her clinical skills by finishing her dry needling certification and pursuing other continuing education opportunities.

When she is not working she enjoys spending time with her fiancé and two cats, working out, playing volleyball, and being outdoors.

Claire Kortens, PTA

Claire Kortens is a physical therapist assistant at Core Physical Therapy.

Claire grew up in Kimberly, WI. She received her bachelor's degree in Exercise & Sports Science from UW-La Crosse in 2021, and her PTA degree from Western Technical College in La Crosse in 2024. She is currenly living in Madison, WI.

Claire is passionate about helping people feel their best and return to doing things they love most. She looks forward to exploring continuing education opportunities in many areas, including aquatic therapy.

In her free time, Claire loves to play volleyball, try new restaurants, and spend time outdoors. She is also busy planning her upcoming wedding!

Kori Reilly, Office Manager

Kori Reilly began her role as office manager at Core Physical Therapy in July 2021.  

She holds certifications in healthcare administrative & insurance, and is working toward a degree in healthcare management. She received her Administrator's certficate from the APTA Private Practice sector in November of 2022.

She has many years experience in patient care coordination and advocacy.

Kori’s passion lies in helping our patients in the clinic and in any aspect of life.  She is very excited to be a part of the Core Physical Therapy family and the Evansville community.

Outside of work, she enjoys camping, hiking, music festivals, and relaxing with family and friends, and her cat, Kitty, and dog, Luger.

Jackson Williams, Office Assistant

Jackson Williams is an office assistant at Core Physical Therapy.

Jackson’s hometown is in Evansville. He is currently taking his sophomore year of high school at Evansville High School. 

Jackson likes working with and being around others. He is always ready for his next task and also likes to think of others before himself. He is starting a front office training course to start helping people by scheduling appointments and managing them.

When Jackson is not working he likes to spend his time being with his family and friends. He also really enjoys bowling, golfing, and fishing
